1. In reference to the communication received from Ms. Angelica Franzes D. Pineda, Festival Coordinator of Tanghal Lusong 2025 dated July 8, 2025, this Division hereby invites the participation of public secondary high schools’ learners on August 29, 2025 at the Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School (FEBIHS) Covered Court (Please see Enclosure).
2. This activity will be hosted by FEBIHS in partnership with Arts Research and Training Institute in Southern Tagalog Incorporated (ARTIST Inc.) and the Lusong Luzon Arts and Culture Network Incorporated (Lusong Inc.) which aims to highlight the rich traditions and evolving narratives of Philippine theatre. With the theme “Staging the Future: Theater for Livable Communities”, the festival will serve as a platform for collaboration among university and community-based theatre groups across Luzon. After each performance, talkbacks and forums will be conducted to provide an avenue for teachers and students to relate what they were able to watch to their different subjects in the classroom.
3. Enclosed to this memorandum is the Activity Matrix and the allocation of participants for the invited public secondary schools. In addition, this Division would like to emphasize that all learners who will participate in the aforementioned activity are required to secure and submit a duly accomplished Parent’s Consent Form prior to the conduct of the said activity. The concerned schools shall facilitate the distribution, collection, and submission of the said consent forms.
4. Participation in this activity is purely VOLUNTARY and NO FEE SHALL BE COLLECTED FROM THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS AND LEARNERS. Moreover, it shall adhere to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance with other existing DepEd rules and guidelines. Thus, it is expected that School Heads should make the necessary adjustments in compliance thereof.
