1. Pursuant to the Memorandum No. DM-OUHRODI-2026-2348 from the Office of the Undersecretary for Human Resources and Organizational Development and Infrastructure and Regional Memorandum No. 480, s. 2026 titled “Preventive Measures to Minimize Fire Incidents”, this Office, through the School Governance and Operations Division – Disaster Risk Reduction and Management reminds the field on the following measures as enumerated in Enclosure No. 1.
2. Among safety measures requested of schools are the following:
a. Conduct of a comprehensive electrical equipment audit;
b. Account for fire suppression equipment, e.g., fire alarms; and
c. Observe the regular conduct of drills, simulations or table top exercises.
