1. According to DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015, assessment is a crucial component of the curriculum that enables teachers to monitor students’ progress and adjust their instruction accordingly to ensure learners’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development and achieve desired learning competencies articulated in the national curriculum. In line with this objective, this Office directs the field to conduct Diagnostic Assessment in all learning areas on August 9, 2024.
2. The conduct of the assessment aims to:
a. gathers baseline data of learners’ knowledge based on the standard competencies;
b. develops appropriate instructional intervention and customized technical assistance/support to schools;
c. design an appropriate LAC Plan and Technical Assistance Plan (SHs, MTs, and HTs); and
d. develops and design instructional interventions and customized technical assistance to support the schools (EPSs and PSDSs)
3. The existing Diagnostic Tests may be accessed through the CID Microsite, embedded in the DepEd Dasmariñas official website, using school’s or school head’s official DepEd email.
4. The teacher may develop their own diagnostic test specially for Grade 1, Grade 4, and Grade 7 if there are no available test materials in the CID Microsite.
