1. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10661 or An Act Declaring the Month of November
of Every Year as the National Children’s Month, in response to the DepEd thrusts to reassess, realign, and refocus its youth-related initiatives to be more responsive to the needs of the youth, to further strengthen the implementation of Child Protection Programs in public schools that ensure a caring and protective environment for children, and in reference to the proposed activity approved by the Cavite Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC), the Division hereby announces the conduct of 2023 Dasmariñas Youth Convergence: Kasama Ka, Kasama Kami, Kasama Tayo! on November 10, 2023 at National College of Science and Technology (NCST)-Multipurpose Hall.
2. This activity is a gathering of student leaders committed to enhancing the school community by promoting various advocacy campaigns focused on Child Protection and Children’s Rights. Also, this initiative aims to nurture learners into individuals who are value-driven, career-oriented, culturally rooted, and socially responsible individuals Specifically, this activity aims to:
• develop deeper understanding on different category of Child’s Rights’;
• gain wider appreciation for the efforts of the Cavite Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) in championing children’s rights;
• equip capabilities to perform various tasks to effectively deliver/communicate the child protection program to their co-learners; and
• solicit children’s issues and concerns that would be used in preparing effective, applicable, relevant, replicable, and sustainable Child Protection initiatives
