1. Pursuant to the Regional Memorandum 35, s. 2023, reiterating DepEd Order 76 s. 2012 and DepEd Order 49, s. 2007, on revitalizing scouting activities in school, DepEd Dasmariñas will lead the conduct of the Basic Training Course (BTC) for Leaders of Adults (LOA) on September 11 to 13, 2024 at Bulwagan,
Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School.
2. This training aims to help update the capabilities of school leaders to manage their respective registered units toward the attainment of its guidelines as stated in DO 76, s. 2012 and to develop a scout to be a well-rounded individual with exemplary character worthy of emulation, its unit leaders must be oriented and trained first to be role models who are true advocates of the Scout Oath and Law.
Specifically, it aims to achieve the following:
a. Enhance Leadership Competencies
b. Promote Youth Development
c. Boost Safety and Risk Management
d. Foster Values-Based Leadership
e. Provide Opportunity for Professional Development and Networking
3. Registration will start at 7:00 am. The first meal to be served is AM snack, while the last meal is Lunch on the third day. Participants are encouraged to be in Type B or C Scouting uniform. The Registration Fee and Food/Meal are charged against the Special Education Fund (SEF) of the Local Government Unit.
4. Enclosed in this memorandum are the Program Management Team, Program of Activities, List of participants, and resource persons for the conduct of BTC-LOA.
5. The participants whose names are enclosed in this memorandum shall be authorized to travel and are in official business. Travel costs that shall be incurred in participation in this face-to-face activity shall be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing guidelines.
