1. Pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 10121, titled the Philippine Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Act of 2010, all national government agencies are
mandated to: a) institutionalize policies, structures, coordination mechanisms and
programs; b) spearhead the establishment of mechanisms which prepare a guarantee protection; c) increase resiliency of the Department of Education and its constituents in the face of disaster; d) institutionalize the culture of safety at all levels; e) systematize protection of education investments; and f) ensure continued delivery of quality education services.
2. In this regard, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas, through the SGOD-DRRM Unit, will conduct DRRM Year – End Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation on December 7, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Montvida, Tagaytay Bypass Road, Amadeo, Cavite.
3. This activity aims to:
a. Track the progress of the DRRM implementation in school-based programs and
identify specific gaps that stand in the way of meeting the goals;
b. Reinforce the thrust of DRRM by encouraging collaboration and teamwork
among DRRM Coordinators and assist each other to connect in the same setting of planning; and
c. Develop school-based DRRM Calendar of Activities
4. Shifting to appropriate distance learning modality for the classes affected by
this training activity shall be upon the sound discretion of the school head.
5. Travel expenses to be incurred by the participants in this activity shall be charged against their respective school funds subject to usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations.
