1. Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 2, s. 2021, regarding the simultaneous clean-up drive for the anti-Dengue campaign in Dasmarinas City, this Memorandum serves as a reminder for all public schools to consistently implement these measures. In light of the persistent dengue risks, it is essential
to strengthen preventive efforts to protect the health of learners and school personnel.

2. As part of the dengue control and prevention efforts, the following actions are to be observed:
a. 4 o’ clock habit – All school personnel and learners are instructed to conduct a daily clean-up drive at 4:00 PM for 30 minutes to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
b. Dengue awareness activities – Schools are encouraged to integrate dengue awareness into regular activities, such as during flag ceremonies, to raise awareness and promote prevention.
c. Creation of Dengue Brigade Officers – Students in Grades 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11, along with teachers and parents, will be organized into Dengue Brigade units to lead and support anti-dengue initiatives within schools.
d. Creation of Dengue Action Plan – The school shall formulate a comprehensive action plan to reinforce dengue school program.

3. In addition to this endeavor, Olyset mosquito nets will be distributed to all public elementary schools. These nets are intended to reduce dengue cases, particularly among school-aged children who are most vulnerable to the disease.
The nets should be installed in the following areas:
a. Classrooms with students who have recently recovered from dengue
b. Classrooms located in shaded or dim areas
c. Classrooms surrounded by vegetation, which may harbor mosquitoes
d. Classrooms near areas identified by the City Health Office with positive larval survey results
e. Classrooms catering to Kindergarten and Grade 1 students
