1. To ensure that School Counselor Associates are systematically trained both in crisis response mechanisms and in upholding a safe, protective environment required for all learners, this Division shall conduct the training titled Intensifying Counseling and Referral (I-CaRe): Empowering School Counselor Associates for Responsive Learners Support on September 23-25, 2026, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at Bulwagang Sigasig, City Schools Division of Dasmarinas. This program is designed in accordance with the Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act and DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 (DepEd Child Protection Policy), which mandates continuous capacity-building and specialized training for newly hired School Counselor Associates to support in the delivery of school-based psychosocial support and early interventions and undergo orientation on child safeguarding protocols, anti-bullying measures, and student rights.
2. Participants to this activity are School Counselor Associates. Participants to this three-day training are strongly advised to bring their own laptops, chargers, extension cords, and other sources of internet connectivity. In consideration of the weather conditions, participants are highly recommended to bring umbrella. School heads must ensure that all participants are in optimal health and exclude those who are pregnant or medically high-risk.
3. Meals including morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks for every training day are included. Participants’ expenses relative to the training may be charged against available school funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
