1. The City Schools Division of Dasmariñas will be holding a DIVISION GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) CONVENTION with the theme “Mainstreaming Gender and Development (GILD) in Basic Education on June 29- July 1, 2017 at White Coral Beach Resort, Bataan.
2. This three- day activity aims to: a. Strengthen the commitment of the GAD Focal Point System members of the Division and Schools to address the pressing gender issues affecting the basic education sector; b. Deepen the commitment of the GFPS members in advocating gender – fair education;
c. Strengthen the capacity of the GFPS members on gender related laws and support the full implementation of the Magna Carta of Women; and d. Sustain the Department’s commitment on gender and development towards a gender – responsive agency.
3. Participants to this activity are the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas Personnel and School Heads composed of Eighty Six (86) female and Thirty Eight (38) male for a total of One Hundred Twenty Four (124) participants. (Please see enclosure no. 1 for the list of attendees).
4. A registration fee of Php 5, 000.00 shall be collected from the School Heads to cover the convention expenses such as board and lodging and transportation and shall be charged against Local Funds (GAD Fund). While, expenses incurred in the attendance of CSDO personnel shall be charged against Division MOOE (GAD Fund) subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
5. Attached to this Memorandum are the matrices of activities, opening and closing program.
