1. In reference to Proclamation No. 1172, Series of 2006 which declares November 25 to December 12 as the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) and Republic Act No. 10398, which designates November 25 as the “National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children,” this Office is one with the nation in its celebration and an official launching will be held on November 24, 2025 at the flag raising activity to be followed by an online engagement on December 12, 2025 via MS Team from 8:30am onwards.
2. The activity aims to:
a. Reiterate the provisions of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 and the Safe Spaces Act.
b. Promote awareness among SDO personnel to combat all forms of gender-based sexual harassment in public spaces, schools, workplaces and online platform.
c. Create a safer and more inclusive environment for everyone regardless of sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
3. Participants to this engagement are the Division personnel and all public elementary and secondary School Heads including Assistant Principals. Attached herewith is the Indicative Program of Activity.
