The Technical Committee for Guidance Counseling (TCGC) of the Commission on Higher Education strongly supports and endorses the Resolution issued by the Network of Career Guidance and Advocates of the Philippines, Inc. (NCGAP, Inc.) to promote the implementation of quality guidance and counseling staff development by institutionalizing the offering of Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling Scholarship program.
As the lead department of the Career Guidance Advocacy Program (CGAP), we respond to this concern by establishing a validated directory of all Guidance Practitioners from private and public high schools in the region.
In connection with this, we would like to request for a memorandum from your office endorsing this undertaking for the participation of all guidance practitioners: Guidance Counselors I Designate Guidance Counselors I Guidance Teachers / Guidance Coordinators I Guidance In-Charge / Guidance Officers especially those from DepEd 4A both in private and public institutions by answering an online form that may be accessed thru tiny.cc/dolero4a_.ngcca. The said link will be valid until 05 August 2016.
We believe that the information that will be gathered will be an indispensable factor for the Department for the conduct of capacity-building activities and to assist the Guidance Counselors and Career Advocates once the CHED Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling Scholarship gets implemented.
