This is to inform you that the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) that aims to advocate the strategy that must be followed for the safety of the public during the occurrence of an earthquake is scheduled on September 28, 2016 (Wednesday) at 9:00 a. m.
In this regard, everyone is enjoined to actively participate as guided by the following:
a. setting of alarms/sirens and honking of vehicles at 9:00 a.m. to signal the start of the drill and to catch the attention of the public for a period of one (1) minute;
b. executing the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD technique whether you are inside or outside of your homes, schools, offices, and other structures upon hearing the alarm/siren;
c. if riding a vehicle, executing the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD inside he vehicle after putting it to a stop, however, if the vehicle is on a bridge, alight and find a safe place where you can execute the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD technique;
d. if on a pedestrian overpass, descend and find a safe place where you can execute the DUCK,-COVER, and HOLD technique;
e. after the one-minute alarm/siren, evacuate from your homes, schools, offices, and other structures until a drill out has been declared after making sure that the occupants are all accounted for.
