1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 126, s. 2016 entitled, Administration of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) for the School Year 2016 – 2017 which shall be conducted on November 20, 2016 for Luzon Regions, this Office informs the field of the submission of the number of expected examinees on or before August 31, 2016 to determine the number of PEPT forms to be requested from the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA).
2. Target clientele of the Philippine Educational Placement Test administration shall include the following:
a. Learners from schools without government permit
b. Learners from non-formal and informal education programs
c. Learners who have incomplete or no record of formal schooling
d. Learners with back subjects
e. Learners who need grade level standards assessment
f. Learners who are overage for their grade levels
3. Learners with special needs may also be assessed if test accommodations as articulated in Section 9 of DepEd Order No. 55, s. 2016 were met.
4. In view of the foregoing, Schools Heads/Principals and Testing Coordinators are enjoined to support the conduct of the nationwide assessment by encouraging qualified applicants to take the grade level placement test to determine their appropriate grade level in the formal system.
5. Furthermore, Public Schools Cluster Supervisors shall monitor the preparation and screening of necessary documents and other requirements being undertaken by all schools within their cluster to ensure wide coverage of the implementation.
6. Immediate and widest dissemination of the content of this Memorandum is directed.
