PHYSIKA, UP Applied Physics Society is a duly recognized academic organization of Applied Physics students of the University at the Philippines Los Baños, which promotes academic excellence and foster well roundedness among its members. It also ensures to sponsor camaraderie to other constituents of the university. For 26 progressive and prosperous years, the organization has been taking part in divulging its fellow UPLB students on the significance and continues advancement in the field of Physics and Applied Physics through organizing various events and activities.
On February 11, 2017, the organization will be holding the Liknayan 2017 “Breaking Boundaries, Building innovation”, Liknayan is a whole day event which aspires to impart substantial knowledge to its participants on the topic of Physics, Applied Physics and its significance in the continuous innovation of science in our society. This year’s events are the Physics Olympiad, Poster Making and Essay Writing – which are open to all Grades 9 and 10 high-school students, Exhibit – which showcases the three different specializations of the BS Applied Physics program of UPLB, and series of talks regarding the innovations in the field of Physics and Applied Physics.
In line with that, we would like to request for an accredition of your department to our event which will be held at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños. We will ensure to you that this event will help high-school students in expanding their knowledge and appreciation in Physics and Applied Physics.
