Warm solidarity greetings on behalf of the Lions Club International (LCI) District 301-A2.
We write to request your office to issue a Region-wide advisory for the creation of at least 80 Leo Clubs, the youth organization of the Lions Club International which was envisioned to give our youth Leadership, Excellence and Opportunities so they may further develop as
future leaders and productive citizens of our country.
The Leo Clubs are designed to involve students and young adults and give them opportunity to serve their communities and make a positive impact. The Leo Clubs offer a great way to have fun, make new friends and develop valuable leadership skills. We have the resources
to help them plan their projects, promote their activities and be recognized for their efforts. Moreover, the Lions Clubs International has an annual writing and poster making international contests wherein only Leo Club members are allowed to participate.
In line with this we have set the following important guidelines in the setting up of a school-based Leo Club:
1. Deadline for Leo Club Application for both public and private schools is on March 05,
2016. Application forms are attached.
2. Oath-taking and charging of new members shall be on March 19, 2016, venue to be
announced later.
3. Local sponsoring Lions Clubs shall shoulder the international membership dues of
the Leo Clubs.
4. Teacher/Principal/PTA advisers or co- advisers have to be designated by the
concerned school.
The Lions Clubs International invites students of very good standing (i.e. student leaders, campus journalists, student athletes, students with special and remarkable skills or talents, academically inclined or honor students) as members of the Leo Club Charter.
