1. This Office hereby reiterates the conduct of the nationwide School – Based Vaccination of Measles – Rubella (MR) and Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) among enrolled Grade One and Grade Seven learners in all public elementary and secondary schools in August to September 2016.
2. In this regard, the previously scheduled orientation with parents and school health personnel on August 9, 2016 set by the City Health Office but was not conducted due to intermittent weather condition shall be pushed through on August 19, 2016.
3. Elementary and Secondary School Heads through the Cluster Supervisors are hereby enjoined to provide the necessary assistance in this regard so the orientation on School Based Immunization that will control vaccine preventable diseases will be fully understood and achieve wide coverage.
4. Attendance of all Grade 1 and 7 level coordinators/ chairpersons is also necessary. Other important details relative to this matter may be addressed to Dr. -Aileen Hazel Romen Tuvera, City Schools Division of Dasmarinas, Health and Nutrition Unit Head.
