In response to the goal of intensifying the school reading and numeracy programs to recover the learning loss and learning gaps brought on by the pandemic, this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) will conduct a capacity-building activity for select Key Stage 3 proficient teachers on December 20-22, 2022 at Bayleaf Hotel, City of General Trias, Cavite.
This professional development program aims to:
a. differentiate between content area literacy and disciplinary literacy;
b. use a range of strategies to teach literacy, numeracy, and content of Math, Science, and language subjects in preparation for learning activity sheets
c. develop lesson exemplars for the conduct of classroom instruction.
The participants in this activity are the select Key Stage 3 teachers of English, Filipino, Mathematics, and Science subjects. (Please see attached list of participants).
