This is to disseminate the Memorandum OUA MEMO 00-0122-0098 dated January 6, 2022 from Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (OUA) re: Dissemination of the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) Guidelines on Records Recovery and Disposal Measures as a response to the effects of Typhoon “Odette”. The field is hereby advised to adhere to the guidelines set by NAP to facilitate systematic records recovery and disposal after a disaster.
In addition, the OUA also enjoins all concerned to conduct an inventory of records which would greatly help in the recovery and reporting of damaged records. Relative to this, the Records Custodians in the Schools Division Office and public schools are advised to prepare for the conduct of inventory of records through compliance to recommended filing system, and maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness of records storage areas while waiting for the guidelines to be set by the Division Records Management and Improvement Committee.
