Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 28-2020 re: Filing of the 2019 Income Tax Returns and Submission of Required Documents was issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue on March 18, 2020. It declares, among others, that the filing and payment of 2019 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR) is extended from April 15, 2020 to May 15, 2020 without imposition of penalties to taxpayers.
For the information and guidance of the field especially those who are to file their AITR for 2019, a copy of the said revenue memorandum circular is attached hereto, along with the copy of the Press Release from the Department of Finance relative to the extension for filing of tax returns, for reference.
