1. The Department of Health in coordination with the Department of Education held a Multi-Sectoral Alliance Meeting regarding on Dengue last August 16, 2016 at Provincial Health Office, Trece Martires City. This is due to increasing number of dengue cases in different municipality/cities again.
2. In this regard, the schools are hereby requested to form a core group composed of students and 1 or 2 advisers to be called as” LITTLE DENGUE BRIGADE”. From this core group list of officers will be submitted to the Health and Nutrition Unit on or before September 13, 2016.
3. Duties of LITTLE DENGUE BRIGADE:
• Clean the School premises twice a week
• Monitor and destroy the possible breeding sites of the mosquitoes
• Report Dengue Cases to the Health and Nutrition Unit ( using the format attached ) weekly (even zero cases, still submit the report )
4. This will be monitored by the City Schools Division – Health and Nutrition Unit for the sustainability of the program.
