Executive Order Number 29 s. 2017 that designates July of each year as the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) throughout the country and that mandates the conduct of activities relative to the building of disaster resilience covering the four thematic areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery with this year’s NDRM theme “Katatagan at Maunlad na Kinabukasan” emphasizing the importance of collaboration in addressing the challenges of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.

In this regard, School Disaster Risk Reduction Management coordinators are enjoined to conduct resilience-building activities intensifying the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign using distant means such as but not limited to social media platforms, webinars, and video presentations.
