In an effort to promote the prevention and control of Dengue, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas reiterates DepEd Memorandum No. 152, s. 2011 entitled Preventing Dengue In Schools. Relative to this, all Public and Private schools are tasked to do the following in accordance to the intensive drive against Dengue outbreak:

1. Search and destroy possible breeding areas of the Dengue mosquitoes.
2. Clean surroundings daily to avoid accumulation of rain water and eliminate possible breeding sites.
3. Do the 4 o’clock habit, an annual campaign of the Department of Health that mobilizes the community to search and destroy possible mosquito-breeding sites at 4:00 PM daily.
4. Integrate the topic on Dengue in school curriculum/lesson including ways to search and destroy.
5. Mag 4S laban sa Dengue (Search and destroy, Self-protection measures, Seek early consultation, Say “no” to indiscriminate fogging).

Furthermore, all cases of Dengue infection should be reported and sent immediately to the following:
• For public schools – Health and Nutrition Unit official email at hnu@depeddasma.edu.ph
• For private schools – nearest City Health Office in the community including an email with copy-furnished to hnu@depeddasma.edu.ph

The City Government of Dasmariñas will also hold a training for Fogging/Misting on July 10, Wednesday, 9:00 AM at the DIHS tent. Participants are one (1) Public School Utility Worker per school, and two (2) per barangay. There will also be a simultaneous clean up drive in all barangays followed by Fogging/Misting for Four (4) consecutive Thursday/Friday beginning July 18, 2019.
