Pursuant to DepEd Order 32 s. 2017 entitled Gender Responsive Basic Education (GRBE) Policy, a focal person for the Teen Health Kiosk (THK) is needed to facilitate and implement health services related to Reproductive and Mental Health programs. The school head shall identify a focal person for THK. The following qualifications are suggested to help the school head determine the focal person:
• Guidance counselors
• Medically-inclined teachers (graduate of any 4-year medical-related course)
• Science teacher
• MAPEU teacher
• Clinic teacher
• Has the willingness to serve and deal with special cases related to Reproductive and Mental Health with utmost capability to observe privacy and confidentiality
Health and Nutrition Unit is asking for three (3) focal persons per school. Names of selected focal persons should be submitted thru e-mail at mariacricelda.felizardo@deped.gov.ph on or before .June 14, 2018.
Tentative schedule of training for Focal Persons will be released after identifying the number and names of the participants.
