Attached is an advocacy material prepared by International Institute of Rural Reconstruction to support the Integrated School Nutrition Model in CALABARZON as clearly stated in Regional Memorandum No. 266 s. 2016.

To strengthen the said program, elementary school heads are directed to perform the following:

a. spearhead the advocacy of this program in any school activities where there are presence/gathering of parents and other external stakeholders,
b. printing the attached advocacy material (in colored) and placing it in a conspicuous places such as bulletin boards in the principal’s office, guidance office, canteen and the likes,
c. seek the support of barangay local government units. Likewise, tap the support of barangay nutrition scholars to aid in the implementation of this program.
d. aside from partnership with the local government units, establish partnership with external stakeholders to strengthen the Gulayan sa Paaralan, School Based-Feeding and Nutrition Education.
e. prepare a quarterly progress report to be submitted to the Division Office do Dr. Virgilio 0. Guevarra, Jr,. Attachment of all relevant pertinent documents is required.
f. direct the English/Filipino teachers who is in-charge of journalism to include this program as one of their priority topics to be included in their School Paper / Dyaryo.
g. creation of an effective advocacy materials to be utilized during advocacy campaign, consultation, orientation, and meetings with external stakeholders. It is strongly suggested that a 7 to 10 minutes video be created focused on the best practices and implementation of standards in School Based Feeding Program, Gulayan sa Paaralan, and Nutrition Education. Enclosed are the guidelines in creating the video.
