1. A Third Set of Policy Directives of DepEd Task Force COVID-19 was issued by the Department of Education through DepEd Memorandum No. 023, s. 2020. In the said memorandum, it was declared that the Central Office, Regional Offices, Schools Division Offices (SDOs), and schools may already resume the conduct of national, regional, and/or off-campus activities starting February 24, 2020.

2. In view of the permissive nature of such directive, this Office deems it appropriate to still suspend the holding of off-campus activities until the end of the school year to ensure that students and teachers in our Division are not exposed to any threat of the COVID-19 (previously named 2019-novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease — 2019-nCoV-ARD). Except for school year-end preparations, graduations, recognition and moving up exercises, no other activities requiring assembly of people in schools shall be engaged in by teachers and students. This directive is also necessary to ensure that the remaining school days for teaching and learning are not compromised.

3. Further, it is reiterated that in the conduct of national and regional activities, including school year-end preparations, graduations, recognition and moving up exercises, as allowed in this memorandum, all precautionary measures identified by DepEd in previous memoranda, and by the Department of Health (DOH) in its issuances are strictly followed.

4. Attached in this memorandum is the copy of DepEd Memorandum No. 023, s. 2020 for reference.

5. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
