Sustaining its commitment to strengthen the research culture in the Division, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas holds the 4th City of Dasmariñas Research Educators Assembly (CDREAM) on January 17-18, 2019 at St. Paul College Island Park, Dasmariñas City.
With the theme “Inquire. Innovate. Integrate”, CDREAM featured 108 research papers on topics including teaching and learning, child protection, human resource development, and governance. Moreover, as a pioneer in Region IV-A CALABARZON, DepEd Dasmariñas launched the JR. CDREAM, which showcased research outputs of Senior High School students taking Practical Research 1 and 2 courses.

Now on its fourth year, CDREAM gathered more than 300 teacher-researchers, school heads, Division officials, and for the first time, Senior High School student-researchers from 43 public elementary and secondary schools in Dasmariñas City. In an engaging welcome address, Schools Division Superintendent
Mr. Christopher Diaz congratulated all conference participants and encouraged them to continue conducting research in their respective schools.
“Teaching in the 21st century requires teacher-researchers who are passionate about doing research for continuous improvement. I hope all of you – teachers and students alike – will continue working together to sustain the research practice in this Division,” noted SDS Diaz.
During the two-day research assembly, the research works of the participants were showcased in poster and oral presentations and parallel sessions. The best papers, poster and oral presenters were selected and awarded by a panel of judges comprised of Dr. Manuel Camarse, Director of De La Salle University Dasmariñas – College of Education Graduate Studies; Dr. Jeffrey Astillero, Senior Education Program Specialist – Planning and Research at DepEd Cabuyao City; and Dr. Randy Punzalan, Public Schools District Supervisor at DepEd Calamba City. Likewise, schools with outstanding research practices were recognized.
The 4th CDREAM and launch of JR.CDREAM was spearheaded by the Planning and Research Unit of the School Governance and Operations Division.
