1. The Department of Education (DepEd) observes National Mental Health Week and Month every October, aligning with World Mental Health Day on October 10 under Proclamation No. 452, s. 1994.
2. Pursuant to Republic Act 11036 (Mental Health Act) and Republic Act 12080 (Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act), the Department of Education (DepEd) implements the school-based Mental Health Program (SMHP) to pursue strategies for mental health promotion in basic education, among others.
3. In line with this, the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas, through the School Health and Nutrition Unit (SHNU), hereby encourages schools to lead and conduct school-based activities throughout October 2026, with the high point celebration during the National Mental Health Week (October 5-10).
