1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 695 s. 2023 entitled 2023 REGIONAL
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR (RSTF) the field is hereby informed of the
conduct of the said activity with the theme “Rebuilding Resilient Communities:
Embracing Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future” on December 5 to
6, 2023 at the Bulwagan ng Karangalan Hall, DepEd Region IV-A, Karangalan
Village, Cainta, Rizal.

2. This activity aims to provide opportunities for learners from public and private
junior and senior high schools to showcase their research projects based on their field of interest and real-world problems, issues, and concerns. It also aims to recognize the most creative and market viable project addressing major issues in food safety, water conservation, renewable energy, cyber security, road safety, health, disaster mitigation, agriculture, and the environment.

4. Participation to this activity shall observe DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on
Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and
guidelines.

5. For the SDO Delegation, food, traveling expenses, and other incidental expenses
of the official participants relative to the conduct of this activity shall be charged
against local or MOOE funds subject to the usual government accounting and
auditing rules and regulations. For the Regional Technical Working Group, foods
RSTF materials, traveling expenses, and other incidental expenses shall be charged against MOOE, MEP (GAA) and PSF downloaded funds subject to the
usual government accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
