1. Pursuant to the Republic Act (RA) No. 7079, otherwise known as Campus
Journalism Act of 1991, the 2023 Face-to-Face DIVISION SCHOOLS PRESS
CONFERENCE (DSPC) for school paper advisers and student/pupil-writers/ delegates in both private and public elementary and secondary schools will be held on December 11-13, 2023 at Sta. Cruz Elementary School.

2. The Conference aims to:
a. demonstrate understanding among campus journalists/participants on the importance of journalism by expressing it through different journalistic endeavors and approaches;
b. sustain advocacy on social consciousness;
c. provide a venue for an enriching learning experience for pupils and students interested in pursuing journalism as a career;
d. promote responsible journalism and fair and ethical use of social media; and
e. enhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly competitions.

3. A complete set of participants per category is encouraged. Each school can send
three or more participants per individual category per medium provided that the said participants will participate only in one category.

4. Just for this year, our Division has identified members of some group categories
based on previous performance as part of elevating the Division’s standing in the higher conferences. However, other schools may also create teams that will
challenge these groups.

5. A waiver or permit signed by the parents must be secured.

6. Training/Cliniquing of DSPC winners for individual categories and the members of composite selection or team for group categories shall be done in preparation for the Regional Schools Press Conference. A separate memorandum will be issued.
